3. Two page typed obituary regarding the death of 2nd Lt Geoffrey H Bagshawe at Ypres in 1915, elder son of Ernest and Alice Bagshawe.
Family history of Ernest Carver:-
Parents: Thomas & Hannah Carver.
One of eleven children (seven of whom survived to adulthood).
Married Alice Bagshawe 14th July 1886 - full name: Frances Alice Devereux Greaves Bagshawe. She was the only surviving member of that Derbyshire branch of the Bagshawe family.
On marrying Alice, Ernest changed his surname to Bagshawe.
Ernest was involved in the family business, first at Hollins Mill and subsequently he was in charge of Wellington Mill in Hazel Grove.
They lived at Poise House before moving to Ford Hall, Chapel en le Frith where they lived in twenty-four rooms with their three children and seven servants.
