Donated by Maureen Cross (née Hunt) 2023 whose parents bought Lomber Hey Farm in the 1940s and farmed it. They subsequently bought land and cottages from the Windlehurst Estate (eg from the canal bridge to Andrew Lane) including Doodfield Stores etc. They also bought Lomber Hey House which is next to the farm and lived there.
Maureen and her brother, who lives at the farm, still own Lomber Hey House but it is let to tenants.
